Hello!

My name is Sanna and I'm the owner of the NorthernTail. I am a qualified dog trainer, with many years of experience, and a member of the Finnish Guild of Animal Trainers. I firmly believe that animals should be treated with respect and compassion and and follow that principle in all my interactions with them. Therefore all my training is geared towards finding ways to interact with the animal that does not involve fear, pain or intimidation but rather seeks to establish a way of communicating that is beneficial and motivating for both parties. Hence, you can rest assured that whether I walk your dog or help you in his/her training, your beloved pet will be treated in kind and gentle way.

I have always had pets and they have come in all shapes and sizes. Both in my childhood home and in my own, I have had dogs, cats, guinea pigs, rabbits, pet goats and horses and have always loved both spending quality time with them and training them. Currently I share my house with an Irish Red Setter Sasha, a Finnish Lapphund puppy Ailu, two rabbits Pupu and Kani, a cat Kasper and a dwarf hamster Bella. You can see pictures of them all on the photo page. I have also taught one of the rabbit some tricks, and will upload a video soon!
